Before choosing a Tazy puppy: three conversations with a breeder

Check the parents, see the litter where it was raised, then agree the documents and support before payment.

Ask about the parents and the pairing

Ask for the parents’ identification and screening results. FCI’s strategy says breeders should use only functionally and clinically healthy dogs with breed-typical conformation and sound temperaments; it advises against close inbreeding and overusing a single sire.

See the litter where it was raised

See the whole litter with their mother where they were raised. PDSA recommends checking the surroundings and whether the breeder asks about the dog’s future home.

Discuss the contract and support before payment

Before paying, discuss a written contract, accurate puppy information and the breeder’s support if you cannot keep the dog. Take time if you have doubts.
